The CONSIDER8 computing club persues true ICT representation. Much of our new technology has no
vision or direction. Technology is engineered for a purpose. And must be as simple as possible to use.
So that it complements life.
Furthermore: It is my own sincere intent in life: to persue the freedom of rights for women and children as a priority. On the Catholic miraculous medal of Mary Immaculate marks the words: "Original Concept".
This description relating to the divine mother of mercy can aid and inspire us to fix the problem of vision we have in our world today. In both cases (ie. womens rights & and ICT developments ) the correction to apply is a 'reversal' or 'return to the: Original Concept'. And remain there: female creation in its own dignity and purity, sinners seeking pardon and mercy. And ICT maintaining its own respected prime.
Note that we are not all Catholics. But we all have our respective gifts that God has given us. The good samaritan does the right thing. Regardless of religion. And give to God what belongs to God.
If there is one single advantage you can get out of this project: its the ability to purchase interent on a business line. Todays modern finance systems are totally corrupt and I know from experience in my life how hard it is for young people to win on the internet with so much thats immoral. The truth is that we are inspired by the truth not by scammers who offer too much home entertainment technology than they can afford. People need to respect patents. Thats what wins, (inspiration) not scammers. A good reputation is priceless. Get an American style 'business router package' from a national ISP and a bill pay phone that gives young adults control over their lives. This can often be miles cheaper than 'home entertainment' bundles. Home Entertainment & Marketing scams are run by predeators on the internet that have really disrupted the world (especially Israel and Japan). Its a very corrupted entertainment sector that needs restrictions. Buying a business package ensures you are protected by business law not 'home entertainment'.
This project aims partly at defining the home entertainment genre, although it also heavily influenced by the perspective of Business Information Systems. Specifically computing ethics. Fundamentally separating entertainment from personal computing. Entertainment is not computing. As such we must use computing devices for computing and entertainment devices for entertainment. We use application software on the desktop/laptop (Word processor, Spreadsheet, Database, Desktop publishing, Email client, Browser, etc.) So for example we dont use spotify, etc on our desktop/laptop. Deivices are designed for specific specifications with standards we agree to. The touch tablet is currently used alot for entertainment and applications. But it was intended for engineering.
Key Development Focuses:
- Understading that: Information Technology started in the 1970's at Bell Labs with the invention of the UNIX operating system, the C-programming language, ANSI standardization, and UNIX-time (EPOCH). In addition to the ICT infrastructure of the time, the team decided to create a programming 'fellowship' around which a community could develop.
- Usage of: Personal Computers became popular with the availability of open standard IBM-Compatible hardware between the 1980s and the 1990s. The essence of Bill Gate's vision remains that: "PC's were created to compliment life". The Personal Computer (Desktop) facilitates office document management in the home ( empowering education for kids, and their career progression ). While Windows Server excells in a business-oriented environment.
- Reviving: Venture capitalism investment in information-communication-technology by moving away from the web-platform-subscription world, led by dead-end managerial vision. Turning away from irresponsible, hiring-managers. In favour of experienced C Programmer (ICT) managerial vision. Increasing business utility: by correctly using minicomputer operating systems. By running proven and reputable application software for Information Systems. And less of experimental web & mobile redundant browser-platform apps and scams. Moreover, development of embedded devices ( smart homes for example ) in C is welcome.
- Reversing: "Web Driven Industries: Cloud Computing, Web Security, Crime" dependancies:
- 1. Cloud centralized systems administration reversed by using traditional ICT: local area networks, security logs, ISCi network storage, a type-one hypervisor, and shared printer: result in the decent ICT managerial vision of: responsible 'on-premise' computing. Instead of irresponsible managerial investment in: endless online scams, social revolutions, and entertainment industry abuses.
- 2. Streaming technologies reversed by using analog devices: (AM/FM radio, mini-disc player, vinyl turntable, video projector/cinema, arcade games) - 3. Over-reliance on military grade security: like encryption, fingerprint scanners, webcam security, satelite dishes: has gotten clinically sick. Instead of building trust, relations, and reputation. Having faith in usage of simple lock and key. And only where needed: professional CCTV security teams.
- 4. Illegal participation online, and feeding ponzac schemes/austerity investments: that cripple capitalism, morale in society, and human relationships is embarrassing. Instead of respecting lawfull practices online. Like: good browsing habits, respecting copyright, and employing traditional privacy & security. For example: using white-lists of trusted web sites. Instead of niavely: supporting organized crime and expecting our involvement privatised.
- 5. Promoting a long-term learning environment with the end goal of synchronizing 3rd level education communication and collaboration world wide. So that university works in tandem with industry again. Staying true to the Catholic tradition of university. Catholic being a core value for educated adults in their lives working towards a world in a love story instead of financial motivation.
- Promoting discussion / debate of protocols and software revsions. Such that, we understand the most significant times of ICT history. As much co-dependant software was highly successfull at times that should be completely re-considered.
For example, SQL Relational Databases in the late nineties contributed to the height of an ICT spike (three-tier style information systems). At the time: Microsoft Windows Server dominated 'on-premisis' computer network administration. Prior to 'cloud computing' offerings. Windows Server 2003 introduced excellent IP-Sec encryption, Active Directory/Group Policy, and Kerberos for LAN's. Windows Domain Membership, a statefull firewall, and features like desktop shadowing, running on type-one hypervisors like VMWare's esxi or Oracle's Virtualization Manager.
This effiecitvely resulted in: decisive business managemerial operations employing key significant infrastructure for businesses who experienced the conclusive, shared vision: of sky-rocketing enterprise computing (venture capitalism) successes, of that time. As such, the technolgies of that time deserve further, deeper study.
For example, to check for a co-rellation between the reputable infrastructure used, and the exponential success generated. Because the success was firmly established before Wifi was even released. The technology of the time was much more business-reputable oriented than: the Wifi, cloud-computing, and smart-phone era. With 'on-premise' RJ45 LAN network technology dominating, at the heart of it.
Functions of the Considerate Computing Club:
- For Colloboration: we run a remote-access time-sharing Ubuntu-instance.
- For Communication: we use IRC and team-viewer.
- For Research and Development: we focus on using the C-programming language.
- For Recruitment Opportunities: we will have Interships available at a later stage.
